8mm Mayhem
In the Seventies, before VHS, the only way you could own your favorite kung fu movies was to purchase them on Super 8 reels. Cannon licensed four of its kung fu titles to Ken Films in Fort Lee, NJ who issued them as 7 1/2 minute Super 8 movies sold in Kmarts and finer camera shops everywhere. In Japan, Fuji issued scenes from Bruce Lee’s Way of the Dragon on Super 8 reels, and later so did UFA in Germany.
